11.    PREPARATION OF MERIT LIST

11- A

Preparation of Merit List for the degree programmes of

B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / B. Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture / B. Sc. (Hons.) Forestry / B.F.Sc. (Fisheries Science) / B. Sc. (Agri. Bio-technoogy) / B.Sc. (Bio-Technology) / B. Sc. (Microbiology) / B. Tech. (Dairy Technology) / B. Tech. (Agri. Engg.) / B. Tech. (Food Processing Technology) / B. Tech. (Dairy & Food Technology) / B. Tech. (Renewable Energy & Environ. Engg.)

The merit list of the candidates who have applied for admission in the prescribed form, within the prescribed time limit and who are found eligible for admission under these rules, shall be prepared in the following manner,

11.1

Merit list shall be prepared considering 60 % weightage of the marks obtained in the Theory Papers (PCB/PCM subject) and 40 % of the marks obtained in GUJCET /JEE or any other entrance test notified by  the State Government. 

11.2

The  central admission committee shall prepare and publish three separate merit lists, namely:-

I

The first merit list shall include the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the Gujarat Board. Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately.

II

The second merit list shall include the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the Central Board of Secondary Education. Merit list of  reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately; and

III

The third merit list shall include the candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from the Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi or National Institute of Open Schooling or International School Board. Merit list of reserved category candidates shall be prepared separately;

Note:

The available Seats shall be distributed on pro-rata basis taking into  considerations the number of students passed from the boards mentioned in (i), (ii) and (iii) above, in the current academic year.

11.3

In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks, the inter-se merit of such candidates will be determined in order of preference by application of criteria as under :-

     

 

A

Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology/Mathematics

B

Candidates obtaining higher marks in Physics.

C

Candidates obtaining higher marks in Chemistry.

D

Candidates obtaining higher marks in English.

E

Aggregate marks obtained in qualifying  examination (Standard XII)

F

Candidates older in age.

Preparation of Merit list for B. Tech. (AIT) and B. Sc. (Hons.) Home Science and Nutrition Degree programme

 

  • Merit list shall be prepared considering 60 % weightage of the marks obtained in the Theory Papers (PCB/PCM subjects) and 40 % of the marks obtained in GUJCET /JEE for the current year or any other entrance test notified by  the State Government.

Preparation of Merit list for B.V. Sc. & A. H. Degree programme

 

  • For the purpose of admission a candidate should appear in the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) conducted in the current academic year.

 

  • Admissions will be considered on the basis of aggregate marks obtained in current year GUJCET examination only.
